Adjusting left or right convertible top lock
(power/fully-automatic)

Ideal adjustment:

Lid should close flush with windshield.

Note:

Open convertible top up to microswitch (S8) "convertible top
switches via dead center point".

Removing and installing finisher on convertible top lock,

refer to 54 34 125

In addition, on right convertible top lock:

Removing and installing motor for convertible top lock,

refer to 54 34 200

Lift out retainer (1) and disconnect ball pan (2).

Pull input shaft (3) off motor. 

Adjust dimension (A) of dead center point rod (1) from center of
ball pan (2) to center of screw connection (3).

Dimension (A) = 205.5
