Troubleshooting convertible (trunk lid/EM-cover semi-automatic)

Electrical convertible top fails to
open or close

a)

Battery voltage is < 10.5 V

b)

Terminal "R" not switched on

c)

Convertible top not unlocked

and raised over dead center

point

d)

Vehicle rolls > 5 km/h

e)

Trunk lid opened

f)

Microswitch (S5) on trunk lid

lock defective

g)

Microswitch setting not O.K.

h)

Fuses defective

i)

Leads interrupted

k)

Plug connections interrupted

Control unit defective

Charge battery, let engine run

b)

Switch on terminal "R", check

fuse terminal "R"

c)

Open convertible top as per

specification

Slow vehicle down to complete
