3 Series E36 318i (M43) SAL
Take off roof panel.
Clean and straighten mating surfaces.
Clean spot welding surfaces of the roof panel on left and right roof
frames from inside of the car through provided openings. Coat
mating surfaces, which are not to be coated with cement, with zinc
dust paint.
Fit in roof panel.
Brush in side surface (2) on roof with cement 51 0 032.
Note cementing specifications for body parts,
refer to 41 00
Caution!
Keep cement off of threads for the roof luggage rack
mounting screws.
Brush in roof frame (1) with sealing compound, refer to BMW
Parts.
Mount and clamp roof panel.
Spot weld roof panel on sides.
Spot weld to rear window frame.
RA Replacing roof panel (models with slide/tilt sunroof)
