3 Series E36 318i (M43) SAL
Loosen screws on lower section of trunk lid lock until it can just be
moved, enabling it to center itself.
The lower section of the trunk lid lock must not scrape against the
upper section.
Unfasten screws (1 and 2) on left and right sides until trunk lid is
still just able to move.
Protect trunk lid to prevent it from dropping, then remove gas
pressure prop.
Caution!
Gas pressure props have high resistance.
Caution!
Before closing the trunk lid and when closing the trunk lid,
ensure that the body and/or trunk lid are not damaged.
Close trunk lid.
