Removing and installing or replacing
thermostatic switch for heated windshield
washer jets

Description of Operation:

The thermostatic switch is connected inline with heated washer
jets.

Cut-in temperature: 2...10

°

 C

Cut-out temperature: 8...16

°

 C

During troubleshooting, please note:

Switch is usually open since ambient temperature usually exceeds
16

°

C.

Spraying with cooling spray seldom causes switch to cut in since a
reaction time of a few minutes is permitted.

Remove bottom panelling at front right.

Unscrew bolts.
