Mounting engine on assembly frame (M42)
Unscrew exhaust manifold.
Unscrew nuts.
Lift off exhaust manifolds.
Installation:
Replace nuts. Coat threads with copper paste (refer to BMW
Parts Service).
For tightening torque, refer to Technical Data.
Installation:
Replace seals.
Beads of seals face the exhaust manifold.
Secure engine to special tool 00 1 490 (assembly frame) with
special tool 11 0 090 (locating plate).
