Replacing sensor for cylinder recognition (M
42, M 43 with breakerless ignition
distribution)
M42 up to 9/93:
Switch off ignition.
Disconnect plug-in connections at cable duct:
1.
Sensor for cylinder recognition (breakerless ignition
distribution)
2.
Impulse sensor for DME
Release screw on sensor.
Installation:
When installing sensor, make sure that O-ring is correctly
seated.
Unfasten retaining screw on cable guide.
Take electric cables out of guide.
M42 from 9/93 and M43:
Remove upper section of manifold, refer to 11 61 040
Remove cable duct from upper section of manifold, refer to
61 11 051
