Removing and installing/sealing damper
cover (A5S 300J)

Unfasten screws (1 ... 4).

Installation:

Screws are coated and must be replaced after every
disassembly operation.

Before inserting screws, clean threads in transmission housing.

Tightening torque, refer to Technical Data 24 11 11AZ.

Pull damper cover off.

Replace seal (5) and O-ring (6).

Apply light coat of ATD to O-ring,

ATF, refer to BMW Service Operating Fluids.

Note:

Check ATF level, refer to 24 00 027
