3 Series E36 318is (M42) COUPE
For Drive with 2 Screws and 1 Rivet:
Unscrew left and right bolts.
Pull cross member (1) forwards slightly.
Push seat/backrest frame upwards and pull drive shaft out of the
gearboxes.
Unscrew bolts.
Remove gearbox (2) at entrance end.
Pull out tunnel end gearbox (1) far enough that the seat can be
pushed.
Note:
Gearbox (1) can be removed completely when the cross
member is unscrewed.
Push seat forward as far as possible.
Unscrew bolts.
Installation:
Use corrugated washers.
Tightening torque, refer to Technical Data
Push seat back as far as possible.
