3 Series E36 318is (M42) COUPE
Unfasten clips and lift out left upper section of blower.
Note:
The air-conditioning system remains installed Illustration
shows air-conditioning unit removed.
Cut off blower wheels at brace.
Lift out blower wheels separately together with blower.
Installation note:
Install fan motor and fan gears individually in air manifold box
and assemble there. Install blower wheel on shaft of blower
motor so that colours match. The arrow on the blower
indicates the correct installation position of the blower wheels.
Caution!
Blower wheels are balanced and fit on the shaft in one
position only.
Installation note:
The installation direction of the blower wheels is defined by
the differing press-in depth of the driver pin.
