Removing and installing / replacing torque
converter (A5S 300J)

Remove transmission, 

refer to 24 00 027.

Using special tool 24 4 000., carefully remove torque converter
from primary pump.

Caution!

Escaping ATF.

The torque converter cannot be cleaned using conventional
cleaning materials and must be replaced if damaged.

Note:

Note designation of the torque converter.

Installation:

Check O-ring (2) on input shaft, replacing if necessary.
