Removing and Installing or Replacing Airbag
Front Sensor
Caution!
Conform with safety precautions!
An incorrect procedure can lead to activation of the airbag
and possible injury.
Disconnect battery and cover up earth pole or terminal.
Unscrew screw.
Pull lower section of steering-column casing off upper section.
Installation:
Check for correct position of lock.
Pull (orange) plug-in connection out of holder on steering column
and disconnect.
Separate plug connection and unfasten screws with special tool
00 2 110.
Installation:
Arrow on sensor indicates direction of travel.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 32 34 2AZ
