Removing and Installing or Replacing Airbag
Diagnosis Unit
Caution!
Note safety specifications
Incorrect handling can activate airbag and result in injury.
Disconnect battery and cover negative pole or terminal.
Unscrew screw.
Pull lower section of steering-column casing off upper section.
Installation:
Check for correct position of lock.
Pull (orange) plug-in connection out of holder on steering column
and disconnect.
Removing glovebox and fresh air nozzle,
refer to 51 16 360
Unscrew bolts.
Disconnect connectors and remove Diagnosis Unit.
Installation:
Arrow on unit shows direction of travel.
