Removing and installing/replacing fuel
injection pump (M41)
Connect MoDiC or DIS to the diagnosis connector. Select
diagnosis program on the DDE control unit, select special
functions or test module, then proceed in accordance with
instructions provided. Interrogate fault memory of DDE
control unit.
Switch off ignition.
Note instructions on disconnecting/connecting battery,
refer to General Data MG 12
Disconnect and mask positive battery lead.
Removing intake air manifold,
refer to 11 61 050
Injection pump: Remove hose for leakage oil (1). Unfasten banjo
bolt (2). Remove return line. Remove fuel delivery line.
Installation:
Replace leakage oil hose after disassembly.
