3 Series E36 318tds (M41) SAL
Installation location of speed sensor over the starter.
Disconnect connector.
Remove speed sensor together with holder.
Installation:
Mount special tool 13 6 040 on holder. Mount holder on
engine block and push forward as far as stop. This sets the
correct distance between pin flywheel and speed sensor.
Tighten holder.
Special tool now makes contact with dowel pin (1) on flywheel.
Unscrew special tool 13 6 040 from the holder and pull it out.
Caution!
Bracket must not be disconnected from engine block:
unfasten special tool and remove.
