Removing and installing / replacing rear
muffler (M41, M51)
Unscrew flange connection between catalytic converter and rear
end of exhaust assembly.
Alignment the flanged joint.
Note:
Sealing taper is produced by upset pipe.
Installation:
Lubricate flanged joint lightly with copper paste CRC, refer to
BMW Parts Service.
Turn flanges until maximum possible ground clearance is
provided.
Align the flanges parallel to each another.
Align the exhaust system and insert the screws.
