3 Series E36 318tds (M41) SAL
Replace self-locking nut and tighten down to Tightening Torque =
17 Nm.
Tighten screw cap to Tightening Torque = 32 Nm and secure by
peening.
Insert foil insert (1) and replace O-ring (2).
Grease and install pressure piece (4), spring (2) and O-ring (3).
Tighten adjusting screw (1) down to determined screw-in depth
and align all the marks.
Secure adjusting screw by peening.
Caution!
The rack must be able to move freely over the entire range of
travel.
