Checking brake lining thickness from 01/98
Note:
The thickness of the outer brake linings can be determined
without removing the wheels.
If necessary, move the vehicle until the aperture for the brake
lining wear indicator (brake lining) is visible through the rim
styling.
Insert special tool 34 1 260 through the rim and into recess for
brake lining wear indicator.
Press special tool to brake lining, slide ring (1) in direction of arrow
to limit position and read off measuring value.
Note:
(A) brake disk
(B) brake lining
Residual lining thickness of front wheel brake,
refer to Technical Data.
Residual lining thickness of rear wheel brake,
refer to Technical Data.
