Raise slide/tilt sun roof lid (1) at back until adjusting levers on
left/right can be lifted out of retaining pin (2) of slide/tilt sun roof lid
(1).

Place lid of slide/tilt sun roof on clean base.

Check zero setting of mechanism:

If necessary, adjust mechanism of slide/tilt sun roof using
transmission or emergency handle (power roof) until dimension
(A) is reached (zero setting).

Distance (A) = 322 mm

Edges (1) and (2) must be aligned.

Note:

If necessary, remove transmission from slide/tilt sun roof
cassette,

refer to 54 12 230 (manual actuation)

refer to 54 13 010 (electrical actuation)

Version with power actuation:

Build status up to 1994:

Turn engine/transmission into neutral position with help of
emergency operator.

Shaft center points, notch and pin must be aligned.

Build status from mid-1994:

Zero setting is no longer visible to naked eye. Zero setting is the
cutout position which can be reached in both directions of rotation
(power-driven). Only approach position on longer travel
(hysteresis).
