Foot mat fixtures not secured

Complaint:
Foot mat fixtures - screw connections not secured- come loose.
Cause:
Screw connections are not screwed far enough into the carpet.
Affected
vehicles:
All E36 vehicles.
Remedy:
The screw connections must be screwed in properly.
Procedure:
During the pre-delivery inspection of new vehicles, the screw connections of the foot mat
fixtures should be screwed so far into the carpet that they rotate freely. Only then can a
precise fixture of the foot mats be guaranteed.
