Unscrew bolt.

Installation:

Use washers on both sides.

Replace self-locking nut.

Tightening torque,

refer to Technical Data 31 21 4AZ.

Unscrew nut and pull off ball joint with special tool 31 2 160.

Take off steering knuckle.

Installation:

Remove grease from bore and pin.

Replace self-locking nut.

Tightening torque,

refer to Technical Data 31 12 6AZ.

Caution!

Different steering knuckles are available for vehicles with or
without power steering.

787 L (left) with power steering unit

788 R (right) with power steering unit

195 L (left) without power steering unit

196 R (right) without power steering unit

357 L (left) M3

358 R (right) M3
