Removing and installing or replacing both
rear brake disks

Caution!

If the thickness of the brake disks drops below the minimum
level (MIN TH), they must be replaced.

Always replace brake disks in pairs.

If the brake disks are replaced, you must also fit new brake
linings.

Remove wheels.

If necessary, remove and clean brake linings.

After completing work, adjust handbrake,

refer to 34 10 014 .

Unscrew bolts (1). Remove and suspend brake caliper from
vehicle.

Note:

Brake hose remains connected.

Installation:

Tightening torque 34 21 3AZ.

Unscrew bolts and take off brake disk.

Installation:

Brake disks on M3 are directional.

If the last digit of the parts number is odd, this indicates a left
brake disk. Last digits which are even numbers indicate right
brake disks.

Tightening torque 34 21 1AZ.
