3 Series E36 318ti (M44) COMP
Remove outer section of rear apron.
Straighten and grind joint surfaces.
Adjusting spare outer section of rear apron.
Mark out joints, remove spare part and cut down marked out joint.
Note:
If possible, produce reinforcement plates from spare part.
Produce reinforcement plates for connection point in centre of rear
apron.
Note:
The reinforcement plates must overlap on each side by at
least 30 mm.
Drill out holes for plug welding reinforcement plates in the body.
Coat connecting faces on body and reinforcement plates with
zince dust paint.
Adjust and weld up reinforcement plates in connection point in
centre of rear apron.
Adjust spare outer section of rear apron to fit in vehicle.
Mark out holes for plug welding reinforcement plates in connection
point of centre rear apron and connection point of lower lamp
carrier.
Remove outer section of rear apron.
