Replacing rear apron (complete, i.e. outer and
inner sections) (compact)

Note:

In the following description, the vehicle is illustrated on a
straightening rig.

This is not essential for performing this operation!

Caution!

When side panels are fitted, rear apron cannot be replaced as
a complete spare part.

When installing the complete spare part, there is a risk of
damaging the side panels.

Rear apron - outer section (1) and - inner section (2)

Always use outer section of rear apron and inner section of rear
apron as spare parts.

These parts are welded together once fitted in the vehicle.

Instructions on body repair,

refer to 41 00

Remove or disconnect following parts:

- 

Rear bumper

- 

Trunk trim panels

- 

Insulating mat on trunk floor

- 

Tool tray

- 

Cable harness (partial)

- 

Lock base

- 

Impact absorbers

- 

Vent flaps

- 

Both tail lights

- 

Trunk lid rubber seal
