3 Series E36 318ti (M44) COMP
Backrest unlocking cable:
Pull off retainer (1).
Installation:
Backrest lock must engage correctly.
Move Bowden cable (3) to and fro in bracket until cable settles into
place"" (freedom from clearance).
Caution!
Don't pull on cable (3).
Use new retainer.
Lift off retainer (2).
Push cable forward and disconnect it.
Installation:
Use new retainer.
Cable for Backrest Adjustment:
Disconnect cable.
