Programming Drive Train P 41.0
Situation:
The programs and data for "Programming Drive Train" have been revised and updated.
The new features are described in detail in the section headed "Procedure".
All programmable/encodable drive train control units are listed in Enclosure 1.
Only the current CD/DVD version is valid for "Programming/Encoding" drive control units.
Control units may only be programmed or encoded using the data on this version. Previous
CD/DVD versions contain data records which are no longer current and could cause
malfunctions. For this reason, these are no longer to be used.
Use the CIP program to program the drive train control units for the series E6x and E8x.
Please comply with the notes in the current IDC "Programming, Encoding, Car & Key
Memory CIP".

DME programming
Data has been updated and added to in the "DME programming" path for the following:

DME MS43 for engine M54
-
DME ME9.2.1 for engine N62/VVT
-
MS45.1 for engine M56 SULEV
-
ME9.2 for engine N40, N42, N46
-
MS5150 for engine W10
-
EMS2 for engine W10

DDE programming
Data has been updated and added to in the "DDE programming" path for the following:
-
DDE 5.0 for engine M47 (TU), engine M57 (TU)
-
DDE 4.0 for engine M47 (TU)
The path "DDE programming" must be used for DDE 3.0 (engine M47), DDE 4.0 (engine
M57), DDE 4.1 (engine M67) and DDE 5.0 (engine M47TU, M57TU) and DDE 409 (engine
W17) control units.
Control units DDE 2, 2.1 (engines M41, M51) and 2.2 (engine M51) must be programmed
via path "DDE 2, 2.1, 2.2" (see 1 DDE 2,2.1,2.2).

EGS programming
Data has been updated and added to the "EGS programming" path for the following:

GS20 for A transmission A5S360R (GM5)

Data has been updated and added to the "SMG programming" path for the following:
