ETM CD E36

Situation: 

As announced at the Service Managers' Conference in Munich in May 1999, the paper
editions of the "Electrical Troubleshooting Manual" for the models E36, E36/5, E36/7 will be
superseded by the ETM CD E36 (ETM = Electrical Troubleshooting Manual).

The changeover from paper to CD ROM offers the following benefits:

Quick and simple location of documents with full text search function

-

Quick and simple navigation between individual sections with links to section
references

-

Much cheaper than paper edition

-

Reduced quantity of paper and filing space

-

Possibility of paper printout of single pages or entire document

-

All ETM E36 since final edition 1998, including other languages, 
on a single CD

The ETM CD E36 will be published twice a year. The March edition will be updated with the
final editions of the previous model year and supplements to the current model year, the
September edition will contain the initial editions for the forthcoming model year.

The ETM CD E36, edition 09/1999, contains the final editions 1998 for 
model variants E36, E36/5, E36/7 and the initial editions 2000 for model 
variants E36/5 and E36/7.

The initial editions 1999 and the supplements to the initial editions 1999 were published in
paper form, the final editions 1999 will only be published on the ETM CD E36, edition
03/2000.

Note:

To use the ETM CD E36, you will require a commercially available personal computer (PC)
with the "Microsoft Windows" operating system. Installation on the DIS tester or MoDiC III
is not possible!

Microsoft Windows 95 or later version or Windows NT 3.51
