Access to the Manual pages of the ETM CD E36 requires the program "Acrobat Reader"
from the company Adobe. This is also supplied on the ETM CD E36.
1. Installation of the "Acrobat Reader"
If "Acrobat Reader", version 3.0 or later is already installed on your system, go directly to
point "2". Otherwise, install "Acrobat Reader" as follows:

Restart Microsoft Windows, close all other applications.

Place the ETM CD E36 in the CD ROM drive.
Windows NT 3.51:
-
Select the command "Run" in the "File" menu of the Program Manager.
Windows 95 and later versions, or Windows NT 4.0:
-
Select the command "Run" in the Start menu.

Enter d:\de\reader\setup.exe (where d: is the drive letter of the CD ROM drive and de
is the required language abbreviation) and click on "OK".

Accept the standard settings (recommended) or select an alternative installation
directory.
-
Follow the subsequent installation instructions on the monitor.
When the installation of the "Acrobat Reader" is complete, a message will appear to verify
that the installation was successful.
2. Start the ETM CD E36

Place the ETM CD E36 in the CD ROM drive.
Windows NT 3.51:
-
Open the "File Manager" in the file "Main Group".
-
In the "File Manager", change to the CD ROM drive and double-click
on startcd.pdf .
Windows 95 and later versions, or Windows NT 4.0:
-
In the Start menu, select the menu item "Programs" and then start
the "Explorer".

In the "Explorer", change to the CD ROM drive and double-click
on startcd.pdf .
The ETM CD E36 is now started. Select the required language in the
left-hand navigation window or on the start screen.
The section "Operating instructions" explains all the most important functions needed for
working with the ETM CD E36 and with the "Acrobat Reader". Further instructions on the
operation and functions of the "Acrobat Reader" can be found in the "Reader Online
Handbook" (under "Help" in the
menu bar).
