Faulty BIOS settings
Situation:
On some Software Service Stations delivered to date, faulty BIOS settings could cause an
uncontrolled shutdown of the affected systems, possibly resulting in serious damage to the
file system. This faulty BIOS can be recognised by the fact that when the "OFF button" is
pressed, the Software Service Station switches off immediately, and does not follow a
defined shutdown procedure as on the systems GT1 and DISplus.
Procedure:
Please contact the Sidis hotline to have the BIOS settings in the Software Service Station
corrected (telephone number: +49-721-595-4308 for Germany, or the responsible Siemens
regional office). The necessary actions will be initiated. Please notify the Sidis hotline
explicitly of the faulty BIOS in the Software Service Station to prevent the call from being
incorrectly interpreted.
