Electrical  test:

Measuring resistance between terminals (1) and (3).

Nominal value 40

Measuring resistance between terminals (2) and (1) or (2) and (3).

Siemens MS 40:

Single-coil rotary actuator, 2-pin plug connection

Electrical  test:

Measuring resistance between terminals (1) and (2).

Specification: 20 

±

5 

Ω

Mechanical test:

Sudden turning of the idling speed control valve must enable the
rotary piston (1) in the idling speed control valve to move.

Dynamic test:

Switch off ignition.

Remove idling-speed control valve (connector remains
connected).

Open or close rotary piston (1) completely.

Switch on ignition.

Rotary piston must adopt and retain a cross section aperture
setting of approx. 50
