3 Series E36 320i (M50) COUPE
Mark plug-in connection (2) on wiring harness and disconnect it.
Installation:
Interrogate fault memory of engine control unit, eliminate
stored faults and erase the fault memory.
1 = Plug connection on oil pressure switch
2 = Sensor for cylinder recognition
3 = Impulse sensor on vibration damper
Remove sensor.
Installation:
Ensure correct seating of O-ring.
Interrogate fault memory of engine control unit, eliminate stored
faults and erase the fault memory.
M50 with VANOS (= Variable Camshaft Spread)
Disconnect solenoid valve plug-in connection on VANOS
adjustment unit.
Unscrew solenoid.
Installation:
Check seal, replacing if necessary.
For tightening torque, refer to Technical Data 11 36 1AZ
