Replacing temperature sensor for coolant
(M50,S50US)
After checking function of Digital Motor Electronics (DME),
refer to 13 00 002
Switch off ignition.
Pull off vent hose.
Pull off connector (1 = long cable) (illustrated here with air intake
manifold removed).
Caution!
Coding of sensor plug-in connection is different for Bosch
DME and Siemens MS 40.
Installation:
Check coolant level, if necessary top up coolant.
Unscrew temperature sensor (1) for Digital Motor Electronics.
Installation:
Tightening torque, refer to Technical Data.
