Replacing expansion tank for hydraulic brake
operation up to 9/96
Important!
Read and comply with General Information.
Refer to 34 00 ...
Draw brake fluid out of the expansion tank with a suction bottle,
which may only come into contact with brake fluid.
Do not reuse drawn out brake fluid.
Carefully pull off suction hoses for hydraulic control unit from both
tank connectors and also feed hose to clutch sensor.
Hold ends of hoses up and plug to prevent fluid from running out.
Note:
Suction hoses are installed on vehicles with ABS up to 09/94,
and on vehicles with ASC+T up to 09/96.
Disconnect expansion tank from brake master cylinder (tandem)
by tilting to side.
Plug connections on brake master cylinder for protection against
dust and dirt.
