Replacing lever (release lever) for lid at rear
of slide/tilt sun roof
Remove sun roof lid,
refer to 54 12 100
Release screws, left/right, and remove covers.
Caution!
Tightening torque refer to Technical Data 54 12 1AZ
A sun roof cassette with stripped threads must be replaced.
Carefully retract slide/tile sunroof mechanism (approx. 50 mm)
until left/right slide rails can be removed.
Slide/tilt sun roof with electrical actuation:
If applicable, run back using the emergency handle.
Remove retainers on left/right.
Disconnect linkages on left/right.
