Replacing left or right side member cover
(partial replacement in front of B-pillar)

Instructions on body repair,

refer to 41 00

Convertible

Side member cover

Remove or disconnect following parts:

- 

Front seat

- 

Back seat and backrest

- 

Carpet, part of

- 

Side trim

- 

Side wall, front

- 

Front door

Other vehicle parts, which are located in the repair zone and are
subject to damage from heat, sparks or dust, must be removed or
covered.

Clear connecting point on door pillar (1).

Mark and expose separating point on side member (2).

Distance (A) = 670 mm.

Detach side member but do not cut through double thickness of
sheet metal.
