Disarming mechanical seatbelt lock tensioner
Caution!
Conform with national accident-prevention regulations.
Belt-lock tightener is "activated" when distance (A) is > 100 mm.
Clamp belt-lock tightener in a vice at point where it is bolted to
seat.
Belt whip must be horizontal.
Pull locking cable out as far as stop and hold it in place with pliers.
Belt-lock tightener for electrically adjustable seats:
Turn screw (1) until green mark (2) appears in the window = belt-
lock tightener activated.
Belt lock must face away from body of mechanic.
Caution!
For reasons of safety, persons who have to be on belt-lock
side must stand at least 3 metres away.
