Incorrect Fuse Ident. Sticker Fuse No. 3 (WWM/SRA)

E36  compact /touring

Situation: 

The fuse identification sticker in the front power distribution box is incorrect - however, the
fuse assignments are correct. Fuse No. 3 is rated at 15 A on the sticker instead of 30 A.

Effect: 

The wrong fuse may be installed when carrying out repairs. As a result, the fuse operates
at its limit range together with corresponding vehicle equipment and when loads are active
and may blow under certain circumstances. Fuse No. 3 supplies the wipe/wash module
(WWM), the headlamp wipe/wash unit (SRA) and the rear wiper.

Affected vehicles:

E36 compact with SRA and rear wiper 
E36 touring with SRA
Manufacturing period: Feb. 28, 96 to April 19, 96

Procedure:

When carrying out repairs involving a blown fuse No. 3, replace the fuse by a 30 A fuse.
Check the fuse identification sticker and, if necessary, correct with a water-proof pen (No. 3
= 30 A).
