Replacing carbon brushes (starter motor with
countershaft)
Note:
Starter motor countershaft dismantled
Precision-grind collector and polish.
File away or mill out insulation between the collector discs to
depth of 0.5 ... 0.7 mm.
After machining, check that windings are secure.
Slide carbon brush holder towards centre and lift up.
Installation:
Fully engage hooks on carbon brush holder.
