Removing and installing/replacing fuel gauge
sensor (right) (unit, sensor-pump, complete)
Draw off fuel from fuel tank,
refer to 16 00 005.
Disconnect plug connection (1) for fuel pump.
Disconnect plug connection (2) for fuel level sensor.
Note:
Ensure that area around fuel tank screw connection is clean.
Petrol/gasoline and diesel engines up to 12/94
Remove fuel inlet hose (1) and tank expansion hose (2).
Petrol/gasoline and diesel engines from 12/94
Note:
Fuel-tank expansion line is installed in the fuel tank.
Disconnect fuel inlet hose (1).

Press unlocking device (green ring) in direction 1 and detach
delivery line in direction 2.
