Removing and installing the complete
exhaust system (M50/B25, M52/B28, S50)

Disconnect connector for oxygen sensor.
Unclip the cable from the retainer.
M50/B25, M52/B28
Loosen the bolt connection of the flange.
Installation:
Check gaskets and replace if necessary.
Replace self-locking nuts.
Coat threads with copper paste CRC (refer to BMW Parts
Service).
S50
Designate the plug connections (1 and 2) of both Lambda oxygen
sensors and separate the plug connections.
S50
Loosen the bolt connection of the flange on the exhaust manifold.
Installation:
Check seals, replacing them if necessary.
Replace self-locking nuts and screws.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 18 00 1AZ
