Removing and installing / replacing rear
muffler (M50/B25, M52/B28, S50)
Loosen the flanged joints.
Separate exhaust.
Installation:
Replace screws and nuts.
Alignment the flanged joint.
Caution!
Different sealing rings.
Installation:
Lubricate flanged joint lightly with copper paste CRC, refer to
BMW Parts Service.
Turn flange until maximum possible ground clearance is provided.
Align the flanges parallel to each another.
Align the exhaust system and insert the screws.
Disconnect the rear retaining bracket on left and right sides.
Take off exhaust assembly downwards.
M52/B28
Pull the vacuum hose off of the vacuum dashpot.
