3 Series E36 328i (M52) TOUR
Unscrew oil cooler pipe at crankcase and oil sump.
Installation:
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 17 22 3AZ.
Unscrew oil cooler return pipe (4).
Installation:
Check O-ring (5) and replace if necessary.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 17 22 6AZ.
Remove cover (1) from side of crankcase.
Unscrew torque converter from drive plate at three points with
special tool 24 1 110 and
Turn flywheel for this step.
Installation:
Install screw with special tool 24 1 110 and secure with
torque wrench.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 24 40 1AZ.
Caution!
Only M 10x16 mm bolts may be used together with spring
washers.
Non-conformance could lead to irreparable transmission damage.
