3 Series E36 328i (M52) TOUR
Support transmission with tool 24 5 350 in conjunction with
special tool 00 2 020 (lifting fixture).
Unscrew transmission on engine.
Unscrew Torx bolts with a Torx socket.
Caution!
To avoid increasing breaking-free torque, washers must be
fitted.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 24 00 1AZ.
Prevent the torque converter from sliding out by applying special
tool 24 4 080 on the transmission housing with the flat side (1)
of the retainer facing the converter.
Pull transmission off engine.
Caution!
A lifting fixture with mounted transmission may be moved only
in completely lowered position.
Caution!
Make sure that dowel sleeves (1 and 2) are not missing prior
to installation of the transmission.
If applicable, transfer dowel sleeves from the transmission.
