Removing and installing trunk lid (touring)
Note:
Engine hood was fitted and bolted in an unfinished body
shell.
Unpainted surfaces become visible after subsequent
movement.
These surfaces must be touched up with paint in the body
color.
There is a separating point in the wiring harness leading to the
trunk lid. This separating point is located beside the rear left tail
light.
Open rear left side trim panel in trunk.
Disconnect the plug connection for electrical connections in trunk
lid, the hose for rear window washing unit and the cable to the
antenna amplifier.
Unfasten cable retainers.
Pull each plug connection on the electrical connections for the
trunk lid downwards in turn, then disconnect and separate them.
Disconnect hose for rear window washer unit.
Note:
Each of the plug connections is individually encoded to
prevent any possibility of assembly errors.
Installation sequence from mounting on body and out to:

Flat white plug connection (2)
-
Flat black plug connection (3)
-
High black plug connection (4)
