Replacing control module (DME) (S50)
Comply with instructions for removal and installation of
electronic control modules, refer to
General Data, refer to 12 00 ...
Read fault memory. Switch off ignition.
Caution!
Always interrogate fault memory with BMW DIS or MoDiC and
print out results.
Switch off ignition.
Before replacing the control module, always comply with the
following instructions:
Encode control module
refer to 11 14 700
Program control module,
refer to 11 14 705
1.
Remove container for intensive cleaning fluid and place to
one side.
2.
Remove coolant expansion tanks and place to one side.
Coolant hoses remain connected.
Remove soundproofing sheet.
