Removing and installing/replacing switch for
gear recognition (SMG)
Note:
After finishing work:
Perform transmission adaptation with BMW Diagnosis
System.
Remove complete exhaust system,
refer to 18 00 020.
Remove heat shield (1).
Remove brackets (1 ... 2) for exhaust suspension (only if fitted).
Remove reinforcement (3).
Installation:
Remove reinforcement (3) with long collar (4) facing forwards.
