3 Series E36 M3 (S50) CONVER
Bend down propeller shaft at centre mount, remove from
transmission output flange and secure with string or wire on floor
plate at side.
Release screws
Installation:
Clean bolt thread and threaded hole.
Install screws with Loctite 243 screw locking varnish.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 23 41 2AZ.
Remove switch for gear recognition by:
A
pulling off switch for gear recognition (1) somewhat toward
rear.
B
pressing shaft (2) to right and pulling out of selector shaft.
Installation:
Coat pin (2) with lubricating grease.
Large diameter of pin (2) faces toward left.
Guide shaft (1) into selector shaft and insert pin (2) in left-
hand hole with large diameter.
