Replacing linkages (both) for convertible top
drive unit
Open side windows.
Position clamping bracket and convertible top lid vertically,
microswitch S2 actuated.
Drive rod, convertible top main pillar:
Replace:
Unfasten screws and washers and lift out drive rod (2).
Adjustment:
Unfasten screw and washer.
Installation:
Secure screw with Loctite 270, (sourcing reference BMW
Parts Service).
Unfasten lock nut and shank screw.
Disconnect front drive rod (2) on convertible top.
