Removing and installing or replacing pedal
travel sensor (SMG)
SMG= Sequential M transmission
Read fault memory. Switch off ignition.
Disconnect battery ground wire. Note General Data on
disconnecting and connecting battery,
refer to General Data Group 12
Remove lower steering column casing.
Unfasten clips (1) and (2) and remove heating duct (3).
Unfasten plug connection (1).
1 = Eye for throttle cable
2 = Ball pin for pedal travel sensor SMG
