Removing and installing or replacing timing
case (upper section of cylinder head) (S50)
(engine removed)
Unfasten heat-protection plate on manifold (6 screws).
Remove exhaust manifold.
Installation note:
Coat thread with copper paste (refer to BMW Parts Service)
Replace nuts.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 11 62 1AZ
Installation note:
Replace seals.
Smooth face of seals points towards cylinder head.
